After watching “Seeing Red”, I could no longer believe that Spike could have loved Buffy.

Can I point out, that every other time, except for the episode with Riley, when they had sex there was some sort of fight before hand. And Spike always pushed Buffy into it, because he knew she wanted it but was just scared? I fully believe this is exactly what happened here, and as soon as Spike realized it wasn’t the same situation he STOPPED, and realized what he had done wrong…and he went to the end of the world to prove how fucking sorry he was. And Buffy knew it.

Even though I will never and could never ship Spike and Buffy as a romantic couple I fully agree with what  howcouldweforgetthedoctor is saying. He was really sorry for what he did, he was couping (physically and mentally) with the fact the he was no longer this big bad awful vampire he was supposed to be and with the fact that Buffy was the only thing that made him feel different at that point. To me is wasn’t love (although is not the point here and I don’t want to start anything, please, feel free to ship whatever you wanna ship and I’m for sure not saying that your ship is worth less or whatever) it was just a poor broken man trying to cope with a humanity he wasn’t familiarized with because the last time he felt it what centuries ago.
